Agri-Tech Check

CQUniversity has partnered with the Victorian Association of Agriculture and Horticulture Educators (VAAHE) for the Agri-tech Check project. Agri-tech Check is funded by Agriculture Victoria as part of the Secondary School Agriculture Fund. 

Agri-Tech Check project has three curriculum-aligned learning modules, designed for integration into lesson plans for years 7 – 12 to improve students’ understanding of the skills needed for careers in agriculture and how emerging technologies are improving production, profitability, and sustainability.

Module 1 | GPS Cows: Livestock Tracking System

Explore real-time GPS data from livestock to analyse behaviours, manage welfare and make decisions about infrastructure improvements and animal husbandry.

Module 2 | Escavox: Tracking the Food Chain

Navigate the Escavox dashboard which displays real-time GPS tracking data of produce grown in Victoria to determine the efficiency of delivery systems in the domestic and international food supply chain network and avoid wastage issues.

Module 3 | AgriWebb: Farming for the Next Generation

Explore AgriWebb farm management software using a free educational licence to track farming operations and make business decisions to improve efficiency, profitability, and sustainability of the farm’s environmental resources.
